A hitchhiking couple seeks shelter from a storm in a rural church and is trapped with the young female pastor. There they confront the pastor with their own open sexuality. It emerges that the male hitchhiker and the minister had similar, repressive backgrounds, but turned out very differently. The man is attracted to the minister, which creates a conflict with his girlfriend. Trapped by the storm, the three become an unlikely triangle of competing attractions that demand hard decisions about sex and morality.
