Naked Theatre

By David Davis

Full length series of scenes about nudity

2 Males, 4 Females (minimum, more preferred)

Very limited set

A collection of comic scenes about nudity: nudity in the theatre, in strip clubs, in magazines, in the park, etc.  Based on the premise that a show about naked people will attract an audience, the play includes a demonstration of how to make up your breasts, revelations about why men like to look at naked women, and an example of how not to audition for a play with a nude scene.

The play opens with a protest that the play exploits females in general and actresses in particular, read by a naked actress.  It goes on to a reverse strip, a token naked male, and a scene where the members of a small town community theatre try to decide whether to do a play with a nude scene.

Other scenes include a stripping contest, a monologue on what God would look like naked, artist=s models discovering that there is a gender gap in pay for nude modeling, and an abstract scene that attempts to force in some redeeming social value.

Male and female nudity.  Audience nudity not required.
